Stenny est un jeune producteur qui vient de Turin. On l’a remarqué il y a un an à cause de son premier EP paru sur Ilian Tape. Trois tracks avec des synthés et un sens du rythme qui rappellent directement un certain René Pawlowitz mais qui sont loin d’être de l’ordre de la simple copie. Au fil des 3 EPs sortis au sein de l’écurie munichoise, on remarque surtout une appétence pour une techno breakée, des rythmes galopants et les synthés à consonances raves. Ce qui fait plaisir à entendre c’est que la superposition de ces styles forment un tout cohérent et parfaitement digeste dans la musique de Stefano (Stenny). On pense sérieusement que cet artiste a beaucoup de potentiel et qu’il proposera des choses intéressantes dans un futur proche, c’est pour ça que nous lui avons demandé un Phonocast. Il en résulte un mix techno lent sombre et mental. Bonne écoute!
Stenny is a young producer from Turin, Italy. We noticed him over a year ago thanks to his first Ep, which got released on the german label Ilian Tape. Three tracks with synthesizers and a sense of rhythm which reminded directly a certain René Pawlowitz but which were totally standing by themselves. Along came three other Eps released on the Municher’s imprint, on which we observed a clear yearning for breaked techno, galloping rhythms and ravy synthesisers. It is pleasant to hear this melting of styles constituting a coherent whole in Stefano’s music. We think this young artist has a very raw potential and will offer interesting stuff in a close future, that’s why we asked him a Phonocast. The result is a slow dark and mental set. Good listening.
