Au sein de la scène parisienne, D.ko, c’est le collectif qui ne payait pas de mine il y a environ deux ans et demi mais qui commence plutôt à avoir pignon sur rue dans la capitale ces derniers temps. La structure s’est faite un nom et une place via l’organisation de ses soirées ainsi que par le biais de ses collaborations avec les nombreux collectifs parmi lesquels on comptera SEML ou encore le collectif belge Deep In House. Par ailleurs, le collectif a créé un label avec des artistes affiliés au collectif. Le premier EP était un Various Artists avec de bonnes idées qui annonçait le début d’une fougueuse aventure dans les méandres de l’univers du micro-sillon : il avait déjà fait l’objet d’une review chez nous. Le second disque de la toute jeune enseigne sort très prochainement, c’est Mad Rey, déjà présent sur le premier épisode, qui se chargera des deux faces du prochain 12″ qui ornera bientôt le catalogue du label et collectif. En attendant c’est Micky P, pierre angulaire du crew, qui nous offre un Phonocast reflétant leur univers !
In the Parisien scene, D.ko is the kind of crew which was looking a bit ordinary but that is nowadays starting to be recognized in the capital. The structure earned its place and name thanks to parties and collaborations with other young crews as SEML and Deep In House. Aside from this activity the crew managed to create a young label with artistes related to the entity. The first release was a Various Artists, announcing the start of this dashing wax adventure, reviewed few months ago. The second 12″ will be out really soon and Mad Rey (he did a track in the previous episode) will take care of its two sides. But before this is Micky P – keystone of the label – who’s offering us a Phonocast illustrating their universe. Good listening!
